Wonderful coastal route along the Tarragona shoreline following a section of the GR 92. Endless coves and some generally quiet beaches, even in high season. Clean, transparent turquoise waters.
The surroundings are stunning, with abundant vegetation, especially pine trees. The trail is technically easy and well-marked if you follow the GR signs, but keep in mind that it's a constant up-and-down route, physically demanding, especially in summer. It is essential to bring 1L of water per person, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent.
To do the route, you can leave your car at L'Ampolla train station and take the train to L'Ametlla de Mar (note: there are few trains per day), where you start the walk toward L'Ampolla.
It can be done in reverse, but the terrain becomes less rugged as you approach L'Ampolla, which is appreciated after several hours of hiking. Following the described direction is more comfortable.
